UEA participants in the project included Academic Schools, the Alumni Office and the International Recruitment Office who will work with colleagues to consider ways in which international alumni worldwide can become more involved with the university and then be more effectively networked with the careers service and current students.
The project activities will include:

a survey of recent international graduates (using Alumni Office and School contacts), working with the UEA Survey Officer to design the questionnaire and collect data;

collection of case studies – working with the International Recruitment team, the Alumni office and current international students;
-
development of alumni podcasts for the website;
-
sourcing employer contact details – through contacts made in the case studies work;
-
organizing an international alumni networking event (possibly a ‘virtual’ event using web technologies) as a joint initiative with the alumni office;
-
involving international graduate participation in careers events;
-
building relationships with embassies to develop contacts with their home country commercial, public sector and educational employers, and source case studies.
