The National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) is the National representative body to support Student Employment Services, with over 110 university/college members. Established in July 1999, it aims to facilitate the continuing development of the sector, encourage interaction between practitioners, share best practice and represent its membership on a national level. NASES has arisen from the desire of practitioners to share expertise, provide mutual support and participate in national agendas.
As a member organisation NASES developed with volunteer support, in 2002 NASES received funding from the then Department for Education and Skills to develop the sector further and help establish student employment as a valid source of work experience, based at the University of Liverpool. In 2004, following its completion, NASES developed a Business Plan to maintain a National Office and continued to employ two staff, a Director and Administrator to undertake central office functions, support the executive committee and manage a variety of campaigns and projects, most recently PMI2, coming to an end March 2011. In 2007 we were granted charitable status. NASES was entered in the Central Register of Charities by the Charity Commission with effect from 2nd July 2007.
Our registered charity number is 1119884.
