There are many ways in which you can make your organisation attractive to students. Here are a few ideas.

• Ensure students are aware of promotion prospects available to them while studying.
• Ensure students are aware of opportunities upon graduation.
• Host a student forum at the workplace to generate ideas gain feedback from your student employees to make the workplace more student friendly (ensure students are paid for attending or given something for input!)
• Introduce flexible working patterns, with appropriate notice time off for exams.
• Introduce a student newsletter with news and information available for student staff.
• Establish cost of hire to ascertain how valuable it is to retain employees.
• Introduce Vacation Link – to allow students to swap locations during vacation times.
• Consider alternative methods of communication with student employees such as email or text.
• Introduce a "recommend a friend" scheme.
