Endsleigh Proud sponsors of SEOTY 2012 support for students and graduates

Online nominations close 5pm, 13 April 2012

What is SEOTY?

The Student Employee of the Year Awards aim to recognise and promote the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who combine part-time work with their study commitments. It has been coordinated on an annual basis by the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) since 2002 and has grown year on year. Students can really add something to a business and the growth in SEOTY shows that Employers understand this. In a difficult graduate recruitment market, a SEOTY award can boost a students CV and give them the all important edge they need to succeed. We also recognise excellent employers in our Student Employer of the Year category.

What could I win?

National, student category winners will receive the following:

  • a framed certificate;
  • a glass trophy (for the mantlepiece);
  • a cheque for £100;
  • the opportunity to attend our glitzy award ceremony and dinner;
  • plus the chance to be named the overall student employee of the year which comes with extra £100 cheque and an enhanced trophy.

Winners in the Student employer category receive a framed certificate, a glass trophy and one free place at our award ceremony and dinner. They will also gain recognition as an excellent employer.

We'll also be featuring all winners on our Alumni pages where our alumni tell us how great winning a SEOTY has been for them.

In a nutshell

An employer, student or job shop can visit this site, click on NOMINATE NOW and choose their category. After the closing date each university will arrange for their local nominations to be judged. From here the winners will be put to the regional stage, regional co-ordinators will arrange regional judging and those winners will progress to the national judging stage. To find out more visit our how judging works and SEOTY timeline pages. Winning students will be invited to the SEOTY summer celebration to receive their award.

Remember- If a student is exceptional, then it’s worthwhile spending the time nominating them and having a positive impact on their future by giving them the chance to put a National SEOTY nomination or a local, regional or national award on their CV.
