e-business undergraduate, University of Liverpool

Steven is an e-Business Undergraduate of the University of Liverpool. He has completed various positions with Business Bridge and is set to begin another set of web design projects in the up and coming months.

The first project Steven completed was with “Christmas Tree Land”, based in St. Helens. Steven worked in this position for approximately 3 months, working 1-2 days a week. Dianne Rainford, director of the company said of Steven “He has produced a very impressive and professional site for me and I have received many compliments from both customers and competitors. The work Steven put in to this project showed great dedication. He has an excellent eye for design and eye catching techniques”. Dianne further added “I would have no hesitation in asking Steven to work on further web projects should they arise and I have already passed his details on to other organisations who have asked for them”.

The second project Steven completed was for the company “Datafile Software”, based in Birkenhead. While based there for four months, he was required to re-develop the website and liaise with the managing director regarding the design of the site. This role also involved the design and development of the site and its re-specifications. Following this Steven went onto successfully gain a permanent position with local company “DNA Diagnostics” as a part time website co-ordinator.

Each company that Steven has worked for has found him to be a rewarding employee. Likewise, Steven has taken great pleasure in working with them; he stated, “I have enjoyed all of the roles I have undertaken immensely. It was fantastic having the opportunity of working with small local companies and I hope I have made some contribution to their long term success”. Steven found that dealing with the companies’ directors gave him a wealth of confidence to communicate at various levels of organisation. He also felt it was beneficial because of a deeper understanding of the environment that businesses operate in. His Business Bridge experiences have also allowed him to compare lecture material with real life business problems. Steven commented, “I have found Business Bridge to be very professional and helpful. I am grateful for the support they have given me throughout the process of completing the projects I have undertaken”.
